Concession process and project parameters
The Ministry of Energy and Mining of Republika Srpska has launched a concession process for the construction and operation of the Trusina wind farm near Nevesinje. The project has planned capacity of up to 50 MW. Expected annual electricity production is around 160 GWh. Total investment is estimated at €66.5mn.
The initiative for the concession was submitted by local developer SDL Energy Company. The concession is structured to cover both development and long-term operation of the facility.
Grid connection, market sales and concession term
The successful bidder will be responsible for securing grid connection in line with technical requirements set by the system operator. Electricity produced by the facility would be sold into the market. The concession could run for as long as 50 years from signing.
Concession fees and feasibility requirements
Financial conditions include a one-off concession charge of approximately €330,000. An ongoing fee applies at €0.0027/kWh of electricity generated. At the stated production level of 160 GWh per year, the variable concession payment would amount to roughly €432,000 annually at expected output.
Prospective bidders must demonstrate legal, technical and financial capacity. They are also required to submit a feasibility study supporting the project’s economic viability.
