In March 2021, on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) a total of 2,303,821 MWh of electricity was traded, which is 18.8 % more compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume in March amounted to 74,316.8 MWh. Traded volume in March 2021 was 100.8 % higher compared to the same month last year. The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in March amounted to 52.06 euros/MWh, which is 11.2 % higher compared to December 2020 (46.83 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 54.74 euros/MWh (+ 1.9 %). There were a total of 82 registered participants on the IBEX day-ahead market, the same as in previous month. Regarding intraday market, a total of 100,781.6 MWh (+ 3 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 56.33 euros/MWh (+ 13.8 %).
