Slovenia: The Government exempted low-voltage consumers from RES fees in the next three months

Slovenian Government has temporarily exempted residential and small business customers from the obligation to pay fees for the support of electricity generation from renewable sources, which are part of the final price of electricity, in a response to coronavirus outbreak. In addition, the Energy Agency announced that it will lower network fees by 33 % for the same categories of customers. The Government exempted low-voltage customers from paying RES fees in the next three months, namely until the end of May, adding that these measures will effectively lower electricity bills by one fifth at average.
According to the Energy Agency, these two measures combined will lower the price of electricity in Slovenia for low-voltage customers by 27 %.
