The Government of the Republic of Srpska (RS) said that it will support the installation of rooftop solar systems on privately owned buildings with total capacity of about 250 MW.
The statement from the Ministry of Mining and Energy said that the Government adopted a support program which envisages the installation of 50,000 rooftop solar systems on privately owned residential or commercial buildings. The aim of the program is the continuation of the development of green energy projects in RS.
State-owned power utility ERS will operate these power plants and also provide financial support for their installation. The company is expected to launch a public call for interested households and businesses by the end of the year.
