The Albanian Energy Regulatory Agency (ERE) has awarded a license for the construction of a 50 MW solar power plant near Fier in southeastern Albania to local company SPV BLUE 1.
According to the license agreement, the construction of the solar power plant must be completed by July 2023. The plant will sell part of produced electricity to the state, while the rest will be sold in the free market.
Earlier in June, the Albanian Government has approved the plan of a local company for the construction of two solar power plants with a combined installed capacity of 40 MW (20 MW each) in the Korca region.
