July output and month-on-month comparison
Višegrad hydropower plant generated 30.27 GWh of electricity in July 2026. The figure was down 31.2% from 44.02 GWh produced in June. Output in July 2026 remained above the 25.11 GWh recorded in July 2025.
2026 cumulative generation and recent annual performance
Cumulative production at the plant reached 657.78 GWh in 2026. In 2025, Višegrad generated 781.8 GWh, compared with 733 GWh in 2024. The data indicate a stronger year-to-date trajectory relative to the preceding year figures.
Plant operator, capacity and historical generation range
The facility is operated by Hidroelektrane na Drini. Installed capacity is 315 MW, made up of three 105 MW units. The plant entered operation in 1989.
Role in regional power market dispatch and pricing
The plant has average annual production of around 1,010 GWh. Its strongest year was 2010, when generation reached a record 1,283.05 GWh. The July decline is relevant for the western Balkan power market because hydro availability is among the key variables influencing cross-border flows, thermal dispatch and wholesale prices across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro.
