Montenegro to host new 50 MW solar power plant in Danilovgrad

Montenegro continues to attract significant interest in solar energy projects, with Danilovgrad set to welcome a new solar power plant. This initiative, supported by private investors, plans to install a facility with a total capacity of 50 MW.

The details of the project are outlined in the proposed urban-technical conditions released by the Montenegrin Government. The solar power plant will be situated on several cadastral plots in the Slap area. According to the solar potential study, the plant will feature 90,909 monocrystalline half-cell panels, each with a peak power of 550 W, collectively achieving a total installed capacity of 50 MW.

Additionally, the power plant will incorporate advanced hybrid central inverter technology and a battery energy storage system with a capacity of 10 MW (25 MWh), enabling it to fully store the generated energy.
