St. Petersburg talks extend Russian gas deliveries to RS
Energy cooperation between the Republic of Srpska (RS) and Russia is set to continue after talks in St. Petersburg. Officials agreed to extend the existing natural gas supply arrangement. The extension is aimed at providing continuity for future supply planning.
The announcement followed a meeting between Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller and Milorad Dodik. During the discussions, participants reviewed current cooperation in the gas sector. They also discussed opportunities for further collaboration.
Contract prolongation and continued favorable pricing terms
Gazprom said the parties reached an agreement to prolong the contract governing Russian natural gas deliveries to RS. Dodik later stated that the talks also covered pricing conditions. He confirmed that RS would continue to receive gas under favorable commercial terms.
Dodik added that the current pricing framework is expected to remain in effect beyond the existing contract period. He said it would be extended for the coming year. The discussions therefore linked both supply continuity and pricing conditions.
Long-term energy cooperation and regional requirements
Beyond supply and pricing, the meeting focused on the long-term outlook for energy cooperation between RS and Gazprom. Both sides examined future opportunities to strengthen partnerships in the natural gas sector. They also addressed support for regional energy requirements.
