The contract on the construction of the rapid transit line in Belgrade will be signed on November 18, 2011, as informed by the mayor of Belgrade Dragan Djilas. The contract will provide for conducting the feasibility study first and it will be signed by the governments of Serbia, France and Belgrade.
The feasibility study will be made by France-based Egis Rail and the construction will be performed by France-based Alstom Transport. The rapid transit system should be completed by 2017.
