MK Fintel Wind is set to expand the Kosava wind farm by adding 36 MW of capacity over the next two years through the installation of 10 additional wind turbines.
Currently, the Kosava wind farm, which has 20 operational turbines with a total capacity of 69 MW, contributes significantly to clean energy production in Serbia, reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 170,000 tons annually.
The financing for this expansion has been secured through an agreement with NLB Komercijalna Banka and the NLB Group. According to the bank, this financing represents one of the largest single financing projects in the local market.
The Kosava wind farm, located near Vrsac, was commissioned in September 2019 by MK Fintel Wind, a joint venture between Serbia’s MK Group and Fintel Energija. It is the third and largest wind farm in their portfolio. The project, which had a total value of 118 million euros, began construction in 2017.
