In the period from February 13 to 19 (week seven), the spot prices of electricity in the region ranged on average from 149 euros per MWh in Slovenia to 158 euros per MWh in Greece. They fell in all regional markets compared to the previous week, when they amounted to 155 to 164 euros per MWh.
The lowest average weekly day-ahead price in the seventh week was achieved in Slovenia – 149 euros per MWh. It was reduced by 6 percent, from 158.8 euros per MWh a week earlier. The weekly volume on the Slovenian stock exchange was 197,215 MWh.
The spot price in Croatia fell from 157.6 euros per MWh to 150 euros per MWh on average in the seventh week.
In Bulgaria and Romania, the weekly day-ahead price in the seventh week was 150.5 euros per MWh on average, decreasing by about 3 percent, from 155.4 euros per MWh a week earlier.
The spot price in Serbia in the seventh week fell by about 2 percent, from 156 euros per MWh to 153.2 euros per MWh in the seventh week.
At the same time, the average weekly spot price in Greece fell for the third week in a row, by around 4 percent, from €163.8 per MWh to €157.8 per MWh, despite low production from renewables and hydro, which together covered 32 percent. of the total demand for electricity in this period, according to data from the stock exchange operator.
Hungary recorded a slight drop in the spot price, from 153.7 euros per MWh in the sixth week to 152 euros per MWh.
