Hungary: Traded electricity on HUPX in 2020

Traded volume in 2020 reached 25.23 million MWh, which is 13.45 % more than in 2019 (22.24 million MWh). The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 39 euros/MWh in 2020, which is 22.55 % lower compared to the previous year, when average baseload price amounted to 50.36 euros/MWh. Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 43.54 euros/MWh in 2020, 23.63 % lower compared to 2019 peak price. Average daily traded volume in 2020 amounted to 68,947.8 MWh. The total value of transactions in 2020 amounted to 985.28 million euros, which is 11.3 % lower than in the previous year (1,110.85 million euros).
