Hungary: Lower electricity trade on HUPX in April

The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 25.33 euros/MWh in April 2019, which is 4.43 % lower compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 29.76 euros/MWh. Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 24.92 euros/MWh in April, 7.63 % lower compared to March peak price. Traded volume in April reached 2.046 million MWh, which is 4.37 % less than in March (2.139 million MWh) . Average daily traded volume in April amounted to 68,197 MWh. The total value of transactions in April amounted to 51.29 million euros, which is 18.71 % lower than in the previous month (63.1 million euros).
