Spes Solaris is a renewable energy company that is a member of the Panagakos group. The company has been granted a new batch of licenses for the construction of another seven solar power plants with combined installed capacity of 81 MW, following the recent issuance of ten solar licenses for 36 MW in total. The licenses obtained to date represent part of a bigger plan to build 43 solar power plants with an overall capacity of 275 MW in mainland Greece and the Peloponnese.
All the projects in the Spes Solaris solar investment plan, included in a fast-track procedure several years ago, have secured fixed tariffs through RES auctions staged by the Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE), over the past few months. Having secured fixed tariffs for each of its projects, Spes Solaris is now submitting applications for installation licenses.
Next step is the signing of connection agreements with electricity transmission system operator ADMIE or electricity distribution network operator DEDDIE, for each of the projects.
Completion deadlines vary for each project, as some of the solar power plants will need to be built and operational by the end of this year, while others have until October 2022.
