EPCG has launched a third tender for the design and construction of the planned Otilovići small hydropower plant in Montenegro. The estimated project value is set at €7mn excluding VAT, or €8.47mn including VAT. The procurement covers the full execution chain, from preparation of the main design to civil works, delivery and installation of electromechanical equipment, as well as testing and commissioning.
Scope and planned phases
The main-design phase is allocated six months, excluding formal review. A further six months are envisaged for preparation of the environmental impact assessment, also excluding the approval period. Construction is expected to take between 12 and 20 months.
EPCG would formally hand the project over to the successful contractor seven days after the building permit is issued. The proposed plant would have around 2.6 MW of installed capacity and expected annual generation of approximately 11 GWh.
