Croatia power utility HEP takes over the TPP Sisak unit C at the end of this year or early next year, it confirmed director of TPP Sisak Matija Horžić .
“All construction and assembly works are completed. The construction lasted more than three years because of the public procurement, production equipment, harmonization of domestic contractors and foreign supervisors. Testing of certain plant parts and their putting into operation are starting now. The download process will be done no later than by the end of this year or early next year”, said Horzic.
The third unit of 230 MW of electricity and 50 MW of thermal energy is financed by offsetting the clearing debt of the Russian Federation to Croatia in the amount of 188 MEUR. Gas steam turbine is made in Russia under Siemens license.
