Bulgaria: Record daily traded volume on IBEX DAM

A new record daily traded volume on the day-ahead market was achieved, the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) announced. For the delivery day of 4 February, the total traded volume of electricity was 76,849.5 MWh, with an average hourly load of 3,202 МW. The previous record was set on 14 January 2021, for the delivery day of 15 January, with total traded volume of 76,668.5 MWh and an average hourly load of 3,194.5 МW. IBEX has started electricity trading on 19 January 2016. It was established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH), later on acquired by the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, and was developed in partnership with Nord Pool Spot. Intraday trading segment started on 11 April 2018.
