Local company Modul Energy is planning to develop an 8 MW solar power plant near Trebinje, with an estimated investment of around 5.6 million euros, according to the Ministry of Energy and Mining of the Republic of Srpska (RS).
The company submitted an unsolicited proposal for the concession, prompting the Ministry to launch a public tender in mid-November. The tender will remain open for bids until December 16.
As the project initiator, Modul Energy is eligible for a 10% bonus in the bid evaluation process, as per legal regulations.
The concession will be granted for a maximum period of 50 years. The successful bidder will be required to pay a one-time concession fee of approximately 160,000 euros, as well as a usage fee of 0.0027 euros per kWh of electricity produced.
