Bosnia and Herzegovina: Republic of Srpska launches tender for 102.72 MW Bancici solar power plant concession

The Ministry of Energy and Mining of the Republic of Srpska (RS) has opened a tender to award a concession for the construction of the Bancici solar power plant in the Ljubinje municipality. This initiative, proposed by the local company KH Alter Energy, involves the development of a solar power plant with a maximum capacity of 102.72 MW and an estimated annual electricity production of 144.57 GWh. The land designated for the plant, spanning approximately 130 hectares, is privately owned by the submitting company.

The total investment for the project is estimated at around 77 million euros, and the generated electricity will be sold on the market. The concession can be granted for up to 50 years.

To secure the concession, the company must pay a one-time fee of approximately 385,000 euros, along with an ongoing concession fee of 0.0027 euros per kWh of electricity produced, based on official metering at the delivery point.

The concessionaire will be responsible for addressing any legal property issues related to the solar plant site, as well as for establishing access roads and facilities to connect the plant to the power transmission network. The costs associated with resolving property and legal matters will fall on the concessionaire.

As part of the evaluation process, the initiative submitter will receive a 10% bonus on points awarded for the technical and economic-financial aspects of their bid.
