The Ministry of Environment of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) announced that it has received the request for the environmental impact assessment (EIA) study for the first hybrid power plant in the country.
The statement from the Ministry said that local company Ventus Industria is planning to build a hybrid power plant Rudjer Boskovic with an installed capacity of 80 MW. The power plant will consist of ten wind turbines, each with the power output of 6 MW, in addition to a 20 MW solar power plant.
The power plant will be built in the municipality of Ravno in southern Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. The plant’s expected annual electricity generation is around 164 GWh.
