Albania: OSHEE reduced network losses in Q1 2019

Albanian stateowned electricity distribution sys-tem operator OSHEE said that it has reduced net-work losses in the first quarter of 2019 to 26.25 % from 27.71 % in the same period last year.

The statement from the company said that it has collected around 150 million euros from electricity bills in the first three months of the year, which is by 4.6 % more than in Q1 2018. OSHEE has an ambitious plan to cut network losses to as low as 16.5 % by 2021. The company invested around 260 million euros in the electricity network in the past few years and plans to invest further 70 million euros in 2019 in order to improve the quality of supply.

In 2018, OSHEE reduced electricity network losses by 2.4 % compared to the previous year.
