Slovenian power plants included in the renewable energy support scheme produced a total of 533.1 GWh in the first six months of 2021, which is 3.1 % more than in the same period last year.
At the same time, 67.9 million euros of non-refundable funds (excluding VAT) were paid, while the average paid grants amounted to 127.4 euros/ MWh.
A comparison of the first six months of 2021 with the same period last year for the two main sources of production (solar power plants and fossil fuel cogeneration units) is consistent with the weather conditions in the first half of the year. In the first six months, solar power plants produced more than 142.5 GWh of electricity, or 3.1 % less electricity than in the same period last year.
An increase of 3.6 % (204.7 GWh) was observed in the production of cogeneration units, which is partly related to increased thermal energy consumption for heating. The production of other power plants was similar to last year, with a significant increase in the production of small hydropower plants that produced 63.9 GWh or almost 30 % more electricity compared to the same period last year.
