Spot electricity prices rose strongly on Monday, June 12 in European markets compared to the previous day. However, the price remained below the threshold of 100 euros per MWh except for Belgium.
In Southeast Europe, day-ahead prices on Monday range from 85.6 euros per MWh in Greece to 97.25 euros per MWh in Hungary. Spot prices in almost all regional markets increased by more than 90 percent, except in Greece, which recorded an increase of 5%.
In other European countries, day-ahead prices on Monday range from 17 euros per MWh in Finland to 101.4 euros per MWh in Belgium.
