Subsidies for offshore wind farms will be provided in the maximal amount of 25 euros/MWh of produced electricity, according to the draft of a new law on offshore wind farms.
However, the draft stipulates that the total purchase price of electricity, which comprises of a premium and a market price, may not exceed 60 euros/MWh. Also, if the market price of electricity is exceeding 35 euros/MWh, the premium is reduced accordingly.
In addition to the premium, a compensation for balancing costs, amounting to 20 euros/MWh, for 20 years from the connection to the network will be added. Thus, for 20 years a project could receive, theoretically, 45 euros/MWh of produced electricity.
