The production of primary electricity last year amounted to 1.92 TWh, and the production of electricity from transformations 1.39 thousand GWh, according to preliminary data from the Statistical Office of Montenegro (Monstat).
The import of electricity amounted to almost 1.2 TWh, while the export amounted to 942.9 GWh. Own consumption of the energy industry amounted to 128.7 GWh, while losses in the transmission and distribution network were 492.9 GWh. The total amount of electricity available for final consumption last year was 3.05 TWh. The highest electricity consumption was realized in the residential sector 42.2 %, 34.9 % in other sectors and 22.9 % in industry.
