Kolubara mines company, record coal production supported energy security supply in Serbia

Mining basin Kolubara with record annual production of coal of more than 30,5 mil tons provided secured supply and preconditions for record electricity production in power plants Nikola Tesla.

With increased production levels in Kolubara, miners of biggest lignite coal producer in Serbia saved tens of millions of euros to Electric power of Serbia which were needed for urgent electricity imports.

According to the Mr.Nebojsa Ceram, general manager of Kolubara basin company, the historical 2011 annual production is the result joint efforts of miners, engineers and administration staff of Kolbuara company.
