In December 2020 on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) a total of 1,754,888 MWh of electricity was traded, which is 10 % more compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume in December amounted to 56,609.3 MWh. Traded volume in December 2020 was 101 % higher compared to the same month last year. The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in December amounted to 56.73 euros/MWh, which is 18.9 % higher compared to November (47.69 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 68.5 euros/MWh (+ 23.6 %). There were a total of 83 registered participants on the IBEX day-ahead market, two more than in the previous month. Regarding intraday market, a total of 113,246 MWh (+ 64.2 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 71.83 euros/MWh (+ 35.9 %).
