Bulgaria: NEK joins IBEX platform to boost guarantees of origin market

The Bulgarian state-owned National Electric Company (NEK) has been officially registered as an active participant in the guarantees of origin market segment operated by the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX).

NEK is a leading force in Bulgaria’s guarantees of origin sector and plays a key role in the production of electricity from renewable sources. In collaboration with IBEX, NEK aims to enhance market liquidity within this segment.

Starting in August, all guarantees of origin held by NEK will be made available through auctions on the IBEX platform, ensuring transparent and structured sales of these certificates.
