Bulgaria: IBEX intraday market reached record in trade volume

Record high traded volume of over 10,499.9 MWh was realized on the intraday market with delivery day 2 December, said Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX). The traded volumes represent an increase of almost 500 MWh compared to the previous record on the intraday market. It was achieved on 10 June 2019 when the total traded volume reached 10,004.7 MWh. The Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) has started electricity trading on 19 January 2016. It was established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) and was developed in partnership with Nord Pool Spot. Intraday trading segment started on 11 April 2018.
