Bulgaria: A total of 1,062,967 MWh was traded on IBEX in February

Average daily traded volume of electricity in Bulgaria in February amounted to 36,654 MWh. A total of 1,062,967 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) in February 2020, which is 11 % less compared to the previous month.  The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in February amounted to 41.41 euros/MWh, which is 24.7 % lower compared to January (51 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 45.87 euros/MWh (- 24.6 %). Weighted average price was 41.87 euros/MWh. There were a total of 76 registered participants on the IBEX day-ahead market, the same as in the previous month. Regarding intraday market, a total of 38,425.1 MWh (- 29.7 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 41.91 euros/MWh (- 35.5 %). At the same time, 928,000.8 MWh of electricity was delivered on the centralized market for bilateral contracts in February (79.9 % more compared to January), with the weighted average price of 52.93 euros/MWh (+ 3.3 %).
