Bulgaria’s state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz has submitted a proposal for the wholesale natural gas price for July 2026. The expected level is set at around €37.7/MWh, according to the proposal. This would represent a 5.84% increase versus June.
The approved wholesale gas price for June was approximately €35.62/MWh. That level marked a slight 1% decrease compared with May, prior to the latest upward revision proposal for July.
KEVR review and public discussion process
The final wholesale gas price for July will be set by Bulgaria’s Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (KEVR) at the beginning of the month. The regulator is expected to review Bulgargaz’s proposal and adjust it based on current market conditions. KEVR is also expected to hold a public discussion before issuing its final approval decision.
