Energy Community may cancel all the EU energy funded projects including cross border electricity connections and HPPs. Secretariat of Energy Community may impose sanctions against Bosnia and Hercegovina for the lack of energy strategy on a federal level.
Bosnia and Hercegovina BiH is not fillfilling many of the obligations coming from Energy Community EnC Treaty related to energy sector reform and development. Local medias in BiH reported several times that the BiH government fails to comply with EnC directives and regulations.
BiH may lose 100MEUR for the energy projects planned to be financed from EU. Ministers council of EnC in Tirana in October will discuss on the sanctions against BiH mainly because it fail to adopt new gas market legal framework which was planed to be introduced in july 2014.
According to Avaz daily EnC will ask from EU to cancel all EU energy funded projects but also to cancel any kind of financial support to entity governments and companies from BiH on any of energy projects listed by EnC.
The list includes the construction of new HPPs Dabar, Srednja Drina. Also CHP plant Zenica. High voltage power lines Banja Luka-Lika, Pljevlja Montenegro-Visegrad BiH. Gas pipeline network projects on the list are gas lines Slobodnica-Bosanski Brod-Zenica, also Ploce Croatia-Mostar BiH-Sarajevo-Travnik.
Radi se o izgradnji hidroelektrana (HE) Dabar, Srednja Drina, KTG Zenica, dalekovoda Banja Luka – Lika, Plevlja – Višegrad, izgradnja plinovoda Slobodnica – Bosanski Brod – Zenica, Ploče – Mostar – Sarajevo/Zagvozd – Posuše/Travnik, ali i Lička Jesenica – Tržac – Bosanska Krupa.
