Bosnia and Herzegovina: Reports drop in profits for Q1-Q3 2024

Hidroelektrane na Trebišnjici (HET), a subsidiary of the state-owned power utility ERS, which operates hydropower plants (HPPs) on the Trebišnjica River, reported a net profit of €4.9 million for the first nine months of 2024. This marks a significant decline compared to the €11.9 million profit recorded in the same period last year.

The company’s operating revenues fell by 16.5% year-on-year, totaling €29.8 million for the first three quarters of 2024. Operating expenses also saw a decline of 4.4%, amounting to €24.1 million during the same period.

In 2023, HET achieved a net profit of €12.8 million, which represented a slight increase from the €11.8 million profit reported in 2022.
