Bosnia and Herzegovina: Electricity production at HPP Visegrad in September

In September 2020, hydropower plant Visegrad, has produced 37.26 GWh of electricity which is 18.5 % lower compared to the previous month (45.7 GWh), announced a subsidiary of power utility ERS “Hidroelektrane na Drini”, the company which operates the HPP.  Last September, the plant produced 36.72 GWh of electricity.

HPP Visegrad produced 858 GWh of electricity in 2019, compared to 1,153 GWh produced in 2018. Highest monthly electricity production was recorded in May with 102.5 GWh. In the first nine months of 2020, the plant produced a total of 510.53 GWh. HPP Visegrad was commissioned in 1989 and it has power output of 315 MW (3 x 105 MW) and average annual generation of 1,010 GWh of electricity. Total electricity production of the plant stood at 23,883.26 GWh at the end of 2015. Record annual production was achieved in 2010 with 1,283.05 GWh.
