Slovenia: Regular maintenance at TPP Sostanj unit 6

Unit 6 of Coal-fired thermal power plant Sostanj, operated by Slovenian state-owned HSE was taken offline on 24 December for regular maintenance. The unit is expected to be back online on 4 January 2021. So far in 2020, unit 6 produced 3,039 GWh of electricity and 258 GWh of thermal energy. Together with unit 5 and gas-fired unit, a total of 3,637 GWh of electricity and 321 GWh of thermal energy so far in 2020. During the downtime, electricity will be provided by the plant’s unit 5 and its gas-fired units if needed.
