Serbia: NIS seeks removal from US sanctions list, requests license extension

Serbian oil company NIS has requested the US Treasury Department to remove it from the SDN (Specially Designated Nationals) list. While awaiting a response, NIS has also filed for an extension of its special license, initially valid from 26 February to 28 March, to delay the full application of sanctions.

The company aims to ensure the continued supply of petroleum products, maintain operations, and support employees until its removal from the list.
