Serbia and Russia discuss renewable transition and innovation

During a meeting in Belgrade, Andrey Ryumin, CEO of ROSSETI, and Dubravka Djedovic-Handanovic, Serbia’s Minister of Mining and Energy, discussed the operations of the grid complexes in Serbia and Russia. They focused on transitioning to a greater share of renewable energy sources (RES) in the energy balance.

The discussions included ongoing cooperation in the energy sector, training qualified personnel and exploring innovative joint projects. Both parties acknowledged that the energy sector is undergoing significant transformation, driven by new technologies and changing consumer demands. Key priorities highlighted were meeting the increasing electricity demand and enhancing digital services in the industry.
