Romania, Transaction through which Premier Energy took over Ecoenergia

The Romanian Competition Council authorized the transaction through which electricity and gas supplier Premier Energy took over local wind energy producer Ecoenergia.

Following the analysis, the Competition Council found that this operation does not raise significant obstacles to effective competition on the Romanian market or on a substantial part of it and that there are no serious doubts as to its compatibility with a normal competitive environment.

Ecoenergia is a producer of electricity from wind power, operating a 34.5 MW wind farm located in Stejaru, Tulcea County.
