Natural gas producer Romgaz said that its total hydrocarbon production decreased by 5.3% in the first six months compared to the same period in 2022, to 15.4 million barrels of oil equivalent. At the same time, gross gas production fell by 5.2%, to 15.3 million barrels of oil equivalent.
Volumes of domestically produced natural gas decreased by an annual 5.3% to 2.34 billion cubic meters in the reporting period, while electricity production fell by 8.6% to 497.6 GWh.
Romgaz recorded a net profit of 517 million euros in 2022, which is 33% higher compared to the previous year.
