Petromidia Navodari refinery has stopped operation on 2 July after a fire broke out at one of the installations, said KazMunayGas International (KMGI), the parent company of Rompetrol Rafinare.
The statement from the company said that on 2 July, an incident took place on the platform of the Petromidia refinery, within the diesel oil refining installation (HPM). As a result of the accident, five workers have been injured and one worker has deceased.
Petromidia Refinery is the largest Romanian oil refinery and one of the largest in Eastern Europe, located in Navodari, Constanta county.
