Average day-ahead electricity prices in the first three days of this week fell sharply in all markets in Southeast Europe, except Greece. The average baseload price for Monday-Wednesday delivery in Bulgaria and Romania is €96.3 per MWh – up over 50% from last week’s €204.5.
The lowest price in this period was recorded in Slovenia – 78.3 euros per MWh – it was also more than halved compared to 207.4 euros per MWh the previous week.
At the same time, the price in Croatia was reduced from 205.6 euros per MWh to 80.1 euros per MWh, in Serbia from 200.8 euros per MWh to 93.5 euros per MWh, while in Greece the price was slightly increased the day before, with 228.9 to 236.8 euros per MWh.
The day-ahead price in Hungary, for the period Monday – Wednesday, amounts to an average of 76.4 euros per MWh. That is over 60% less than the previous week.
