Hungary: Average day-ahead price – 95 euros/MWh in July

The average price on the day-ahead market of the energy exchange HUPX amounted to 94.98 euros/MWh in July. That is 2% lower compared to June (96.57 euros/MWh). The average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 86.51 euros/MWh in July, 2% higher compared to June.

Traded volume on the day-ahead market reached 2.03 million MWh, 4% less compared to June (2.12 million MWh) and 4% more than in July 2022 (1.96 million MWh). The average daily trade volume in July amounted to 65,552 MWh.

Traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 701:843 MWh in July 2023. The average price for the hourly product amounted to 98.26 euros/MWh, 2% more compared to June.
