Greece, Next mixed RES auction scheduled for March 2022

After the approval of Greece’s support mechanism for RES projects by the European Commission, the Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) is planning to hold the next mixed RES auction, under new terms, in March 2022.

It is planned that the auction will offer a total capacity of 600 MW in solar and onshore wind projects. However, the amount could be increased, if RAE deems that a sufficient number of RES projects has reached maturity level for awarding tariffs.

RAE plans to offer a total capacity of 1 GW in wind and solar through auctions in 2022.
