The first meeting of a working group for the construction of Albania-Greece electricity interconnection, established in autumn 2021 by Greek and Albanian electricity transmission system operators ADMIE and OST was held last week.
The meeting was attended by ADMIE CEO Manos Manoussakis and OST CEO Skerdi Drenova who, with other representatives, discussed the implementation of an electricity interconnection project.
The project envisages the construction of a 400 kV overhead transmission line, which is expected to significantly increase cross-border capacity between the two countries.
