Croatia: Gas prices for commercial consumers to increase by 9.4%

Croatian Energy Regulatory Agency decided that commercial consumers using guaranteed gas and electricity supply services from January 1, 2024 will pay 9.4% more for gas and 5.7% less for electricity.

This service is provided by power utility HEP to companies whose gas and electricity suppliers in public service have encountered business difficulties or have terminated contracts with their customers for various reasons.

In 2022, HEP Elektra provided electricity in the guaranteed service to 83,000 companies.

Regarding gas, due to the financial collapse of some gas suppliers, HEP Plin had to take on 20,000 new customers.
