Electricity production in Bulgaria in April 2023 decreased by 17% compared to March, to 3,063 GWh. At the same time, consumption of electricity decreased by 11%, to 2,704 GWh, according to Bulgarian National Statistical Institute data.
Consumption of natural gas in April decreased by 18%, to 212 million cubic meters, while its production amounted to 1 million cubic meters.
Compared to April 2022, the production of electricity decreased by 26%, while its consumption rose by 3%. Consumption of natural gas increased by 5% compared to April 2022, while its production dropped by 50%.
