The Albanian Energy Regulatory Authority nominated ALPEX as an operator of the electricity market of Albania and Kosovo.
ERE said in a statement that ALPEX would collaborate with the transmission system operators of the two countries to ensure the implementation of pricing policies and seamless trading by EU standards.
On 11 April, ALPEX successfully launched its day-ahead market. The project was implemented with the support of the Athens Stock Exchange (ATHEX) and the Hellenic Energy Exchange (EnExGroup). Two companies provided ALPEX’s infrastructure and services for its operation.
