As of 1 July prices of heating and hot water have been increased, between 4 and 23 % for the various district heating companies or 16 % on average, for the capital Sofia, the increase is 20 %, According to the decision of the Bulgarian Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (KEVR). The regulator also approved the increase in the prices of electricity for households, which amounts to 4.4 % on average.
The biggest rise in heating price is recorded in Veliko Tarnovo – 23 %. The increase in Burgas and Vratsa is 21 %, while consumers in Sofia and Pleven will pay by 20 % more. Varna and Razgrad follow with 17 %, Pernik by 15 %, Plovdiv by 13 %, Russe by 11 % and Gabrovo by 9 %. The lowest increase is recorded in Sliven – 4 %.
The prices of heating in Varna and Razgrad are growing by 17-18%, in Pernik by 15%, for Plovdiv – by 13 %, in Rousse – by 11% and in Gabrovo – by 9%.
The heating prices are determined on the basis of one-year period, as well as those of electricity for residential consumers.
In the case of electricity, the biggest increase is for consumers supplied by CEZ – by almost 6 %, while for the customers of two other suppliers – EVN and Energo-Pro the increase in electricity prices will be just under 4 %.
