Bosnia: Eol Prvi applied for permits for the construction of 5 wind farms

The Energy Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Srpska (RERS) announced that local company Eol Prvi has submitted applications for obtaining permits for the construction of five wind farms in the Republic of Srpska.

Eol Prvi submitted applications for the following wind farms: Cvijetkov Kuk, Dubac, Dzinov Do, Kucajnica and Rupari.

In October 2012, company Eol Prvi has obtained 30-year concession contract for the construction of 51 MW wind farm. The height of its 17 wind turbines will be 84 meters with rotor wing diameter of 112 meters, and turbines will be delivered by the Danish Vestas. The wind farm is expected to produce some 160 GWh of electricity per year, which would be enough to supply some 40,000 households. Strategic partner of Eol Prvi in Trusina wind farm project is British company Kermas which, among other things, deals with energy and its value is estimated at about 1.5 billion euros.

In July 2017, the company announced that the construction of Trusina wind farm will start in March 2017 and it should be put into operation by the end of that year.
