Albanian electricity distribution system operator OSHEE has launched a tender for the first phase of the project for the installation of smart electricity meters, which envisages the installation of said meters in two municipalities.
The value of the tender for the first phase is 8.5 million euros. It envisages the installation of smart meters in 3,350 cabinets in Durres and Shkoder, regions with high electricity losses.
The main goal of the projects is the reduction of technical and non-technical losses, improving the quality of the service and enabling the integration of the future renewable energy projects in the distribution network.
